PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
This is a pivotal role in our organization, involving highly responsible volunteer management work. You will be assisting the Public Health Emergency Response Coordinator as a liaison with other the federal, state, and local Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) partners and the community.
Your work will be crucial in promoting, recruiting, retaining, and planning activities for the City of New Haven Health Department MRC and volunteers in preparation for routine or public health emergency activities. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Graduation from a two-year college or university with major course work in emergency management, public or business administration, or a related field; 3 to 5 years' experience in emergency management, public administration, volunteer management, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development. English / Spanish bilingual preferred.

SALARY, BARGAINING UNIT & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a part time, Special Fund, "Non Tested" position.
This part time position is not eligible to receive medical benefits, vacation pay, holiday, union membership, or union contractual benefits. Any period of part time employment will not be construed in any way to mean probationary employment. Persons may not be employed in two concurrent part time positions with the City and/or the Board of Education at the same time.
