The Associate Compensation Business Partner develops, recommends and supports Gallo's compensation programs and philosophy to ensure consistency and competitiveness to achieve the organization's goal to attract, identify, motivate and retain a high performing and engaged workforce. Acts as subject matter expert leading medium to large projects and performs research and analysis on compensation policies and practices in the areas of job evaluation, base salary, variable pay, pay structures, internal equity, external market trends, and regulatory compliance. Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal legislation. Develops collaborative client and HR relationships to support compensation needs and services.

What You Will Do:

  • Provides support by fielding and answering general and sometimes complex compensation questions and data inquiries.
  • Collects and analyzes data to support the company compensation infrastructure including preparing job descriptions, market pricing, job evaluation process, and documentation.
  • Contributes to external compensation surveys to provide detailed analysis on competitive position, trends and compliance.
  • Supports the design, documentation, implementation, support and administration of incentive pay programs.
  • Analyzes reports to monitor compensation compliance and support client group needs.
  • Participates in Annual Compensation Processes.
  • Contributes to the development, administration and support of compensation software systems.
  • Participates in compensation audits and performs analysis to evaluate jobs to ensure equitable wage and salary rates, both internally and externally.
  • Advises HR business partners and customers in the various aspects of the compensation administration programs and resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Builds collaborative and consultative relationships with the business and HR business partners to support the review of pay changes and compensation program recommendations to ensure compliance with established guidelines, policies and practices while supporting business needs.
  • Partners with HR business partners and clients in the development of or restructure of jobs and job family career pathing.
  • Reviews key job duties and accountabilities to determine appropriate FLSA classifications to ensure company compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Participates in the development and continuous improvement of department guidelines, practices, procedures and processes.
  • Conducts special compensation and business-related studies and projects to ensure and maintain consistency and competitiveness of programs across the organization.
  • Participates in the development and delivery of presentations relative to compensation training, education and compliance.
  • Acts as key partner in working group to support business to include HR and Talent Acquisition staff.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of Compensation Analysis experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility; or Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in Human Resources, Finance, Economics or Mathematics to include an understanding of Compensation Fundamentals reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of experience in Human Resources or Finance to include experience in Compensation Analysis reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Detail driven individual with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with ability to see the broader picture and summarize complex data.
  • Knows and applies a broad working knowledge of compensation principles, practices and procedures.
  • Responsible for working with highly sensitive and confidential information and maintaining the confidentiality of the information used during the normal course of business.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Skilled in juggling multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skill requirements include intermediate MS Word, MS Excel and database, basic MS PowerPoint.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $36.35- $54.52
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
