Responsibilities
Serve as an integral team member of the MDA Chief Engineer's Engineering Design (MDA/CED) organization, a multi-discipline, multi-source government/industry team providing engineering, engineering management, and general technical and scientific support, services, and products. Specific engineering activity support responsibilities include development of the Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrix (MAP RAM), Engineering Technical Review (ETR) planning and support, and Failure Review Board (FRB) planning, execution, and reporting to key stakeholders. Candidate must have experience working with upper-level MDA, DoD, and industry leadership at the SES/Flag Officer level. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the MDA Chief Engineer in the development of the Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrix (MAP RAM)
- Support MDA Engineering Technical Review (ETR) planning and execution
- Support Failure Review Board (FRB) planning, execution, and reporting to key stakeholders
- Support coordination and review of enterprise taskings across the customer organization
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a STEM discipline
- 12 years' experience with missile defense systems or another complex DoD weapon system
- Active Secret Clearance
- Ability to think critically and follow common engineering processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Familiar with test planning and execution
- Familiar with fault tree analysis
- Ability to work independently and multitask within a dynamic, collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel
- Ability to communicate effectively and brief upper-level leadership
- Ability to adapt to MDA processes and requirements for MDA leadership briefings and meetings
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiar with the Missile Defense System elements and operational concepts
- Familiar with the MDA organizational structure
