Could you be the full-time onsite Trainer for Rail Operations in Los Angeles, CA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Alstom is seeking a diligent and experienced Trainer - Rail Operations to support, design, and implement effective training programs for our Metrolink operations team. The trainer - Rail Operations will be responsible for identifying training needs, developing educational materials, and ensuring employees receive proper training to enhance performance and safety in their roles.

We'll look to you for:



  • Oversee and Manage Rail Operation Training Programs: Lead the training team in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the operations department.
  • Identify Training Needs: Collaborate with managers to assess current and future training requirements based on changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
  • Develop Educational Materials: Create engaging and effective training materials, including manuals, workshops, and e-learning modules. Experience in online course creation using an LMS to develop and distribute coursework.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all employees receive mandatory job training and safety instructions, maintaining compliance with industry standards, including Federal and State regulations.
  • Oversee and Manage Training, Certification, and Re-Certification records: Ensure all employees training and certification records are in compliance with Federal and State regulations.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in training and development, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in designing and implementing training programs.
    • Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.






Requirements:



  • Impressive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a teaching position.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Oral expression- the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Oral comprehension- the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Speech clarity- the ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
  • Railroad rules and PTC (Positive train Control) knowledge required.

Pay Range:

$75,000 to $103,000.00 depending on experience/qualifications.

This position is eligible for Railroad Retirement.
