If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Who You'll Work With
You will be part of McKinsey's Client Service Risk (CSR) function. Client Service Risk's mission is to enable McKinsey's client impact and innovation, while managing risks to our clients, people and firm.
You will be based in one of our US offices and you will be a core member of the North America Life Sciences team within Client Service Risk. In this role you will report to the Global Head of Risk, Life Sciences, with primary responsibility for end-to-end management of the Life Sciences client service risk process in North America. You will work closely with CSR colleagues, Client Service Risk Committee members, regional, sector, and domain leaders, client service partners, and colleagues in other professional functions, including Legal, Compliance and Communications. Your impact within our firm
As the Risk Manager with primary responsibility for managing the Life Sciences risk review process, you will be responsible for providing strategic, integrative advice to the Life Sciences sector and regional leadership on how the firm can most effectively manage the multi-faceted and complex risks that arise by virtue of serving Life Sciences clients in the United States and Canada.
In this role you will own primary responsibility for facilitating the sector's client and engagement risk evaluation for all potential Life Sciences engagements and advising internal teams on the sector risk mitigation process. You will lead the evaluation and triage of higher-risk and complex cases, as well as interface with cross-functional Legal, Risk, and Compliance colleagues to ensure appropriate risk review and oversight according to sector policies. You will also work closely with professional sector colleagues to develop and improve risk practices and protocols, support efforts to increase awareness and training within the sectors, and develop procedures and processes for timely and accurate record-keeping.
The successful candidate will combine a deep risk-ownership mindset in these areas, as well as outstanding judgment, to manage complex and time-critical issues and act as a peer counselor to the Life Sciences sector leadership, including sector partner risk leads. You will take ownership for the Life Sciences client service risk model across North America, including leading efforts to strengthen and refine the firm's risk and compliance model in close collaboration with other professional functions. You will lead, or participate as a key thought partner, in sector-level reviews to develop action plans on priority Life Sciences policy, strategy, and organizational issues.
