SALARY RANGE: $15 to $17 / hour

REPORTS TO: General Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Grain Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the grain industry, including operations, logistics, marketing, and customer service. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the grain supply chain, from sourcing and storage to sales and distribution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in daily grain operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping grain.
  • Monitor grain quality and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Work with the logistics team to coordinate grain movement and transportation.
  • Support customer service efforts by communicating with producers and buyers.
  • Contribute to grain marketing activities, including price tracking and market analysis.
  • Learn and assist with inventory management and grain handling equipment.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the management.

REQUIREMENTS

Educations and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in an agricultural, business, or related field.
  • Strong interest in the grain industry and supply chain management.
  • Basic understanding of agricultural markets and commodity trading is a plus.
