Document Specialist

We are looking for a Document Specialist to join our team, reporting to the Land/Title Coordinator. This individual will support the land acquisition efforts of the Development & Land Team to acquire and maintain the necessary land rights needed to construct and operate renewable energy projects. This is a full-time, contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research online records for vesting deeds, tax cards, and tax maps
• Visit courthouses when vesting deeds are not available online
• Review and confirm legal descriptions
• Prepare necessary documents
• Maintain a tracking spreadsheet
• Participate in necessary meetings
• Assist with other land related tasks, as they may become available and as time allows

Qualifications:

• College Degree, preferred
• Ability to read legal descriptions preferred but not required.
• Real estate or title experience, preferred but not required.

• Strong typing skills; ability to fill in basic information into form documents
• Ability to read real estate document and extract necessary information for document preparation
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent proof-reading skills
• Ability to evaluate and resolve issues
• Concise communicator, both written and verbal skills
• Willingness to learn new skills
