2 days per week, 8a-5p, Previous family practice APRN experience required.
Primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
1. Under the supervision of designated, licensed physicians, perform initial patient screenings, collect patient history,
and perform physical examinations.
2. Monitor and maintain progress of patients; prepare, review and update the plan of care; and provide report to
supervising physicians.
3. Enter/Update patient records and checks records for accuracy at each patient appointment through the EMR.
4. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care
needs; determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options.
5. Serve as the resource the patients contact for ongoing care information, counseling and guidance for any critical
conditions.
6. Initiate and maintains plans of care.
7. Perform intake of new patients; ensure signed consent forms, prior medical record, and other required documents
are obtained.
8. Follow the Florida Department of Health requirements, as well as all legal and regulatory requirements and abides
by the APRN scope of practice.
9. Maintain current knowledge of latest medical research and seek out educational opportunities to remain current
and ensure continued excellence in care.
10. Mentor other office staff.
Education/Professional:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master's degree in nursing.
2. Current and active APRN license in the State of Florida with prescriptive authority.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience as an RN providing recent direct patient care in an acute care setting.
4. Previous assisted living or long term care experience strongly preferred.
5. An equivalent combination of professional experiences and education may be considered as meeting the
educational/professional requirements.
