Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Technical Product Manager (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:

  • Contribute to medium to large cross-functional projects.
  • Engage in high bandwidth conversations with both business and technology executives.
  • Be highly effective working both independently and in cross-functional capacities to identify, define, analyze, prioritize, and refine technology requirements across all categories.
  • Forge strong partnerships with business sponsors, product owners, architects, and developers to define feature sets, story maps,
  • detailed user stories (functional and non-functional) to support the development process.
  • Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit.
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams and communicate requirements to development teams for execution and implementation.
  • Position reports to the Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a technical product manager or software engineer-related occupation.

License/Certification: Product Management certification required.

Required skills:

  • Web services APIs: SOAP, REST, JSON, and Protobuff;
  • Languages: Java, Javascript, and Golang;
  • API Documentation using Swagger and YAML;
  • Architecture/Framework: Microservices, Design patterns, and Spring boot;
  • Mock Design tools: Figma, Gliffy, and OmniGraffle;
  • CI/CD - Jenkins;
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes and cloud deployment;
  • Gen AI Tools: Github copilot, ChatGPT, and ML/AI;
  • Working cross-functionally to define feature sets, story maps, and detailed user stories (functional and non-functional) to support the development process;
  • Providing escalation management.

Travel Requirements:This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is$124,700.00 USD to $199,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
