Overview
The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a full-time, on-site Nurse Navigator to join our team in our Wichita, KS offices. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends. What does this position entail? Under general supervision, the Nurse Navigator provides individualized support to patients, families, and caregivers in a community oncology setting. Using the nursing process, the role involves educating patients, facilitating access to internal and external resources, and ensuring informed decision-making and timely symptom management. The position requires frequent collaboration with internal departments (e.g., scheduling, pharmacy, nursing, lab, imaging) and external referral resources. The Nurse Navigator works closely with physicians, practice leadership, and clinical staff to promote and guide the patient navigation process. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:
