Description 
Position Summary: The Forklift Truck Driver is responsible for operating battery powered lift equipment in a safe and efficient manner, along with handheld scanning devices to manage placement of inventory within a warehouse environment.  Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)  
    
      
     - Operates a variety of battery powered lift equipment to receive, put away, replenish, and load inventory within a distribution warehouse.
 - Assist with physical inventory to maintain accuracy of product in warehouse.
 - Provide routine general maintenance on lift equipment: nightly charging of unit batteries, watering, checking for wear, and requesting service on inoperable equipment.
 - Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures in daily operations
 - Supporting other departments as needed to facilitate overall company operations
 - Demonstrating accountability, including decision-making and process improvements
 
      
     
  
Qualifications 
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Education and Experience:   
    
      
     - High school diploma or GED.
 - Forklift License
 - 1-3 years Reach truck experience preferred
 - 1-3 years Counterbalance fork truck operator experience preferred
 - 3-5 years Warehouse Operations experience preferred
 
      
     
 
 Special Requirements:  
    
      
     - Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.

 Equipment Used:  Safety Equipment: Safety shoes, Scanner, Calculator, Photocopier, Telephone, Pallet Jack, Forklift Computer Software: Microsoft Outlook/Express, Microsoft Word Physical and Mental Requirements:  
    
      
     - Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
 
      
     
      
     - Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures, work on a computer, read, or control machines or processes at a rapid pace that requires close coordination and fine adjustment.
