Description Under the direction of the Training Manager, the Business and Financial Systems Principal Trainer (PT) oversees the comprehensive curriculum for Workday business systems. Key Responsibilities: Acts as the main liaison between Workday and UCLA Health, collaborating with the application manager, analysts, business owner, vendor, stakeholders, and ISS team members. Designs, implements, and maintains the training program for the Workday application. Integral member of the project team, involved in workflow design, engagement, and educational activities. Analyzes, develops, tests, and maintains the training curriculum. Manages updates to policy and procedure documentation related to training. Conducts staff training sessions and updates asynchronous training materials. Oversees training change management for software upgrades and updates. This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $102,500 - $227,700 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range. Qualifications Job Qualifications * Bachelors or master's degree with equivalent work experience * Required to become certified in Workday Application * Experience in designing, delivering, and maintaining synchronous and asynchronous training programs for Workday application * Preferred prior experience with IT systems and systems development projects. * Ability to collaborate with SMEs and learners throughout the instructional design process. Works with all levels of the organization, from front-line staff to senior management. * Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner. * Effective leadership skills and strong customer service orientation. * Experience managing, coaching, or mentoring trainers. * Experience working with the communications team to publish training schedules and communicate with stakeholders * Must be detail-oriented and have a knack for probing for information in order to fully understand the underlying needs that influence how a training material should be configured/ organized. * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing tasks, appropriately delegate and track work, and hold individuals accountable for work tasks. * Ability to work effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds at all levels. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without reminders. * Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations. Must be able to recognize problems, evaluate, and refer to the appropriate channels for action. Required Knowledge and Experience * Minimum of 3 years' experience in multimedia development (Workday Training development preferred). * 2 to 3 years of Advanced Adobe Captivate 9 and Camtasia user. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite. * Experience in adult education, instructional design, and eLearning development. Proficiency with a variety of learning development tools. * Experience creating & editing voiceovers using Captivate or Audacity * Experience using webinar hosting tools (i.e., Zoom, MS Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone On Demand preferred) * Experience working in healthcare is highly desired. * Demonstrated project management experience managing complex, high-priority projects on tight deadlines. * Demonstrate proficiency with information systems technology, which also includes Microsoft Office Suite, email, and MS-visio. Demonstrated skill in system workflow and business process flow analysis and design.
