STV is seeking anEnvironmental, Health and Safety Leadto support one of our clients with our transportation group for a large-scale construction project. This position is designated as onsite (5 days week/in office) and will be located at our client site in Queens, NY.

Responsibilities include:

  • On-site EHS inspections and compliance monitoring
  • Lead and directly supervise a staff of 3-6 environmental health and safety inspectors across multiple shifts and sites
  • Review and provide comment on contractor submissions and coordinate as needed in a professional proactive manner
  • Compile monthly metrics reports and review/approve inspector daily reports. Chair/ participate in multiple meetings a week
  • Must be able to communicate in these meetings in a clear respectful manner and be well informed on the subject matter for which they are speaking to

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to work independently, possess excellent leadership, communication, time management and computer skills
  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in construction EHS oversight and possess a working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations
  • OSHA 10-hr Construction Safety Training is required
  • OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is preferred
  • Experience working withlocal water/wastewater facilities
  • Current 40-hr Hazwoper, Confined Space Entry and RCRA training are required

Compensation Range:

$102,271.92 - $136,362.56
