Shift:Monday-Friday, Rotating Weekends and Holidays * Base Pay Range: $56,597 - $89,419/per year, based on experience o Note: Details will be provided during the HR interview. Policy language is available upon request.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Provide patient care by conducting nutrition assessments on patients or clients according to standards of care, policies, and protocol. Accurately make nutrition diagnoses when appropriate, supported by assessment data. Individualize nutrition interventions for each patient or client. Consistently monitor patient or client progress toward goals. Prioritize care to provide cross-coverage for other inpatient units as assigned. Provide ongoing nutrition education. This includes education for dietetic students and interns, assessment of educational needs, provision of nutrition counseling for inpatients, and development and revision of patient education materials. Share information learned from educational meetings and webinars with peers. Effectively communicate with nursing, medical, and other hospital staff to ensure high-quality nutritional care for patients or clients. Regularly attend interdisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and patient care conferences for effective communication with appropriate team members. Act as a resource to medical staff and allied health personnel on nutrition issues. Facilitate clinical nutrition business practices by assigning and directing the workload of dietitians and diet technicians during weeks on call. Assist in achieving compliance with regulatory standards. Identify opportunities to increase awareness of nutrition services. Participate in planning and developing nutrition-related policies, procedures, processes, protocols, and goals. Participate in the orientation of new clinical nutrition staff and the ongoing training of dietitians and diet technicians in areas of expertise. Identify and collect performance improvement data, monitor outcomes, and initiate corrective actions. Keep the manager informed about issues and problems impacting the work area. Assist in determining solutions and highlight positive actions or behaviors. Keep professional development current with nutrition care expertise to ensure evidence-based practice for patients or clients, staff, students, and the community. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Dietitian licensure from the Missouri Committee of Dietitians board. Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Master's degree or five (5) years of inpatient clinical dietitian experience. Advanced level certification in area of coverage within five (5) years as a condition of continued employment in this job classification: --Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) by NBNSC --Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR) by CDR --Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP) by CDR --Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Critical Care Nutrition (CSPCC) by CDR --Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) by CDR --Advanced Practice Certification in Clinical Nutrition (RDN-AP or RD-AP) by CDR --Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by CBDCE PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
