Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced

As an NDT/NDE Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in Wilmington, North Carolina, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and integrity of our most complex construction projects. The role is ideal for experienced inspectors ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

What You'll Do:



  • Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing: Conduct inspections and deploy non-destructive testing methods to uphold impeccable quality standards. A significant portion of field inspection time is spent performing non-destructive testing (NDT) duties such as ultrasonic inspection (UT) of welds and/or magnetic particle testing (MT) of welds.
  • Project Testing Assignments: Juggle testing assignments across projects, contributing to the success of each endeavor.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain testing equipment in working order and calibration; can include managing field and laboratory equipment inventories, maintaining formal calibration records, and participating in quality systems audits.
  • Report Creation: Craft detailed reports to communicate findings effectively.



What We're Looking For:



  • A High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years of metals testing experience or an associate degree
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
  • Achievement of ASNT Level II certification per ASNT-SNT-TC-1A in at least one method
  • Safety, DDC, NDT, and Radiation Training
  • Experience in the use of fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems



What to Expect:

With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).



  • Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions
  • Climbing heights over 200 feet
  • Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of materials and equipment
  • Safely handling field tools and maneuvering equipment on active construction sites
  • Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary
  • Working outside of normal business hours when necessary
