Covia is looking for a dynamic Production Supervisor who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron location. The Production Supervisor, with limited supervision, will oversee and direct hourly employee work performance to accomplish daily production and shipping requirements consistent with quality control and safety/health policies and procedures. Reports directly to the Plant Manager.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Supervise and train lab and production employees
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health, and safety standards
  • Assist in daily operations as needed
  • Manage scheduling of production for multiple shifts
  • Provide troubleshooting and product training to achieve best possible results
  • Maintain a safe working environment and safety records
  • Support customer, distributor and sales requests


Details:



  • Afternoon Shift Position
  • 2:00pm-10:00pm


The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 - 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of processing plants and manufacturing operations.
  • Must be able to work weekends and all shifts
