JOB SUMMARY: The GIO Security Manager position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise class security solutions. This position requires an individual with a deep understanding of risk and vulnerability assessment, security operations in a global context, and incident response who can provide accurate information to senior management while also contributing to the roadmap for the security program. Additionally, this role will be responsible for budget management, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, ensure exceptional customer service, and represent a globally distributed team of security analysts and engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this position; however, this is not an all-inclusive listing. Other duties may be assigned. The GIO Security Manager, as a member of the GIO Security Services team, will be required to:

  • Oversee the implementation, integration, and monitoring of security systems

  • Interact with and lead team members from multiple international teams (Europe, Mauritius, India, etc.)

  • Strong technical understanding of cyber security concepts and best practices

  • Advise senior management on pending issues that may affect the security posture of the company

  • Guide analysts and other team members to improve their skills and ability to support customers

  • Manage the response to risk alerts generated by security systems in accordance with the company incident response plan

  • Ensure proactive identification of issues that may produce challenges and present solutions

  • Monitor security systems and reports to maintain compliance with multiple regulations such as PCI-DSS and DHS CFATS

  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, or processes that add to the overall effectiveness of the information security program

  • Provide effective communication so that employees and customers, on all levels, understand the problem and the next steps toward resolution

  • Proactively engage with customers to provide information about upcoming projects and changes that impact their environments

  • Monitor incidents and request tickets to ensure clear and effective communication between customers and technical teams

  • Engage with global infrastructure teams to identify and resolve issues that may arise

  • Facilitate issue identification and resolution through the appropriate business units

  • Provide direction to infrastructure teams, end-user support, application teams, and business units on best security practices

  • Provide technical expertise on security tools and solutions to help identify issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or Business, or equivalent work experience required

  • 5-7 years experience with enterprise class and open source security tools such as Qualys, Zscaler, and Palo Alto Cortex

  • 7-10 years experience in IT systems administration with a firm understanding of how systems interact with each other. This includes, but is not limited to, networking, and servers

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Ability to interface with senior management, IT team members and internal customers across geographies/time zones/cultures

  • Show technical leadership and demonstrate critical thinking with robust troubleshooting fundamentals
