Your main responsibilities

  • Work from manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, intranet, SAP and written and/or oral instructions.
  • Operate numerical controlled turret and press brake on automatic, semi-automatic or manual controls and read on controls position of work piece and turret.
  • Check pattern sequence and perform mathematical calculations necessary to make machine adjustments to meet specifications. As required, dial in program manually or dial in from readout of program sheets.
  • Punch, pierce, emboss, blank, notch, slot, and form a variety of metallic parts and check out manufactured parts against drawings.
  • Set up and operate press brake to bend and form material and parts in a non-repetitive complex basis. Program Light Curtain and make programs for new parts. Layout work as required.
  • Set turret with punches, dies and holders as per layout sheet or other instructions and check for proper alignment by cycling press manually. Set up press brakes, bend, and hem per instructions.
  • Set work holders at table location as per instructions or in positions clear from hole locations in piece parts.
  • Perform daily and weekly machine operator's maintenance checks and tests such as--but not limited to-hydraulic and air system, table movement, and controls, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Recognize malfunctions due to erratic table movement, tapes, hydraulics and/or air systems, and controls.
  • Recognize when punches and dies on both punching and forming require sharpening or replacement and when parts have been punched or formed incorrectly due to program errors. Sharpen tools as required.
  • Sort and deliver parts to work area. Move material to and from work area. Acquire forklift license. Clean machine and oil punches as required.
  • Notify supervisor of equipment or tool conditions requiring service or repairs.
  • Responsible for quality of finished work.
  • Maintain required records and documents (F&L Standards).
  • Perform other duties, as instructed, necessitated by change or condition. Observe all company rules and safety practices. Keep work area in a neat and orderly fashion.


  • Provide suggestions and ideas towards the continuous improvement of our operation. Edit programs and check N.C. plot to make quality parts.
