Position Overview: Senior Highway Engineer Our client is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join their Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This embedded position requires the candidate to report to the office five days a week and assist with one of the state's most high-profile infrastructure projects. Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work on major or moderate-sized projects.
Perform preliminary engineering design and review the work of junior engineers, designers, or drafters.
Prepare cost and man-hour estimates, job budgets, and schedules.
Oversee the preparation of final plans and reports, ensuring submission for approval.
Conduct or oversee personnel involved in engineering investigations and planning work.
Coordinate with other engineers and professionals within and outside the discipline.
Plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate construction services for moderate-sized projects.
Assist in the management of projects as required.
Address complex engineering problems, requiring decisions on methods and solutions.
Supervise the work of junior professionals, technicians, and others assisting in assignments.
Interface with senior technical professionals, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Make decisions independently, with general direction for results expected.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, with six to ten years of experience post-Bachelor's degree.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
Strong technical writing, communication, and computer skills.
Experience in project management is a plus.
