We are looking for a talented Data Analyst to help optimize our business operations and support our revenue management activities. Position Summary: As a Data Analyst, you will be an integral part of the WFS Land organization, using business process analysis, data, analytics, quantitative methods, and technology to optimize operations and solve commercial challenges. You will work on pricing technology, process automation, purchasing strategy, unit margin management, asset optimization, market research, sales support, supply & trading support, and business performance analysis. Your role will involve building data/technology solutions, automating activities, integrating acquisitions, and developing insights on unit margin optimization. Key Responsibilities: System Design: Write code and design robust, well-performing automated systems to assist the team in processing, validating, and analyzing monetization and transaction data from multiple sources. Algorithm Development: Design and maintain revenue and pricing optimization algorithms for the WFS Land business. Dashboard Creation: Design and build dashboards or reports to present results to colleagues inside and outside the team. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Run ad-hoc analyses and determine when and how to increase automation/self-service for common requests. Data Accuracy: Ensure accuracy of data delivery; validate reports against transactional and dimensional data and troubleshoot as needed. Opportunity Identification: Uncover revenue/margin opportunities through data analysis. Insight Generation: Interpret results, data, and model output and turn them into actionable insights. Required Skills: Education: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative field. Analytical Methodologies: Experience with applied analytical methodologies (machine learning) and using large data sets. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL Developer, Python. Systems Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Visual ETL tools (Alteryx). Dashboard Design: Experience with building and designing dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) and summarizing/presenting results. Initiative Translation: Ability to translate abstract ideas into actionable initiatives. Algorithm Implementation: Comfortable with implementing mathematical algorithms. Preferred Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of transportation fuel distribution business model (gasoline, diesel). Pricing Experience: Fuel pricing experience (contracts, spot, CPQ).
