In-House Design Unit (IHD) in the Bureau of Engineering Review & Support in the Division of Bridges is seeking to hire a capable, confident, and dedicated Deputy Director of IHD. The successful candidate will supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinate staff including four Engineers-In-Charge performing Structural Design, Seismic Design, Geometric Design and CADD, Drainage Design, Traffic Analysis, Civil 3D, Geotech Design, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering. The candidate will supervise all functions related to preparing contract documents for rehabilitation/replacement of very complex bridge design projects, and will coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies as well as private Utilities and consultants. The candidate shall work closely with the Director and staff to ensure that all projects and urgent tasks assigned to the Unit are completed per schedule and within assigned budget. The candidate shall be called upon to resolve engineering and construction issues which may arise during construction.
Preferred Skills Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Candidates with experience preparing contract documents for large and medium sized bridge projects are preferred.

ADM ENGINEER (NON MGRL) - 1001A
Minimum Qualifications 1. A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
2. Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
Preferred Skills
