One of our clients in the Birmingham Market is looking to ramp up a team for a large upgrade they are planning to do. They are looking for candidates that have level 1 IT support experience to help with this effort. This project will require 25 to 30 technicians. If you are entry level or have the needed experience this would be a great way to continue building an IT career.
*Description* Our client would like everyone to start on Thursday, May 1st, to give them an orientation as well as ensure they have the proper working equipment, etc. Then, on Monday, May 5th, the project will start. Job Description One of TEKsystems' clients, an enterprise organization headquartered in Birmingham, AL, is looking for level 1 helpdesk technicians to join their team. They are in the midst of a large multi-year technology transformation; and, a part of that transformation is an Oracle Cloud implementation. Even more specifically, the Cloud transformation includes an upgrade of their OS systems and they're going from Oracle v7 to v23. This upgrade is not a simple upgrade as they are skipping several versions...and there are 1100+ locations around the US. The 30 technicians will join a "war room" and be responsible for ensuring that the upgrade is successful and that the end users are able to have their equipment up and running. The technicians will need to have great customer service and attention to detail as the project has tight timelines. Since there are locations all around the US and within the 4 different time zones, the hours of operation are 7a - 4p and the technicians will work 6-8 hours within those operating hours and some will start Sunday afternoon to do some "pre-work" for the following day's locations. Sunday work will be remote. *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
