The Office of the Registrar is recruiting an entry-level professional staff member to provide excellent service for students, faculty, staff and the public. The Academic Records Specialist will contribute as a member of the Student Services Unit. The Office of the Registrar is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the academic record. Serving all students, faculty, academic units, and student support functions; the Office is charged with the implementation of academic and student policies and their alignment to state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Assist with processing outgoing University transcript requests.
- Assist with processing of incoming transcripts including scanning and indexing for the purposes of assigning transfer credit.
- Assist with the Change of Schedule workflow including but not limited to processing requests, relaying requests to cross-campus departments and partners, ensuring all approved requests meet the standards set by the University's policy and practices on enrollment actions.
- Process and respond to cases related to the following: 500 Level Petition, Advanced Status, Credit by Exam, Proficiency Exam, Change of Personal Information, Authorization for Release of Information forms, Enrollment Verifications/Letters, Second Start, Academic Renewal, Leave of Absence.
- Respond to general student inquiries about residency classification for tuition purposes based on Arizona Board of Regents policy.
- Use knowledgeof University of Arizona and Office of the Registrar websites and policies to support students, faculty, staff, and the public through a variety of methods.
- Assist the student workers in answering phones, email, and chat questions and helping to resolve escalated cases as needed.
- Use and update department Business Process Guides.
- Assist in creating and updating technical and nontechnical documentation for internal and external purposes.
- Additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report |
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
