Benefit Eligible The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for leading all aspects of External and Internal Grant Funding and all Foundation revenue-related processes. Grant management includes identifying, cultivating, writing, soliciting and stewarding granting agencies, program officers and trustees for the purpose of securing major grant funding in alignment with UnityPoint Health-Meriter organizational priorities. Revenue processes include leading the Foundation side of programs and initiatives that receive Foundation funding. This includes partnering with medical staff leaders and community partners to create and bring forth programs that advance UPH-Meriter solutions to the most pressing community health needs, such as healthcare pathways programs and scholarship programs. The Director provides leadership in the development of objectives, priorities and strategies for major grant development, all policies and procedures, and maintains a portfolio of prospects and granting agencies to advance them through the development process. The Director represents UPH-Meriter Foundation and UPH-Meriter to internal hospital and clinic staff and externally to community partners. This position will temporarily (12-18 months) oversee some revenue-related operations tasks (disbursements, invoice reimbursements and tracking) until the system office fully absorbs those tasks in the coming year. *This is a hybrid position that will work both onsite at the Jeff Levy Education Center (Beltline and Todd Drive) as well as remotely.
