The Division of Transplant Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities include supporting the call schedule and clinical obligations such as seeing patients in clinic, deceased and living donor kidney and liver transplantation, pancreas transplantation, small volumes of general abdominal procedures, hepatobiliary cases, and dialysis access procedures. The recruit will also be involved in teaching residents, fellows and medical students.

Qualified candidates will have a strong background in clinical transplant surgery, with preference for candidates with interest and experience in hepatobiliary surgery and vascular access. Qualified candidates will also have completed an ACGME accredited transplant surgery fellowship program, and will be board certified or eligible in transplant surgery. Transplant surgeons in this position may participate in academic programs of the Feinberg School of Medicine, including educational programs (e.g., training, preceptorship, mentoring, etc.) or research programs (e.g., participation in clinical trials, referring patients for clinical trials, etc.).

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $380,000 - $500,000.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
