We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Director II - Product Management on our Health Solution team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a Director II - Product Management, you will manage
the portfolio lifecycle for the CPT Product Line. This includes developing and leading product
strategy, identifying new opportunities and markets for growth, business case
development, lifecycle management, go to market planning and execution. Communicate a clear product vision with the line
of business program and product managers to drive product roadmaps, execution,
implementation, direction and transparency. Actively work with sales, marketing,
operations, market research, and engineering teams to develop and drive product
strategy and cross-functional alignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Portfolio Strategy and Management

  • Manage the CPT Product Line for sustained growth and impact.
  • Develop business and financial models to generate business case(s) for review and approval that are aligned to Heath Solutions (HS) and AMA mission and objectives.
  • Set strategy and plans for product launch and market entry.
  • In conjunction with leadership and CPT product managers, develop and enhance a multi-year product strategy and roadmap and build consensus and enthusiasm among stakeholders.
  • Facilitate management of an innovation pipeline and backlog. Manage the execution of, and enhance, our high quality, repeatable opportunity and innovation assessment methodology and tools. Utilize deep understanding of emerging trends in health care, voice of the customer and voice of the market to support innovation.
  • Maximize market share and contribution margin in line with AMA HS mission and strategic initiatives.
  • Work with leaders across AMA (e.g., Legal, Finance, and Advocacy) to align product strategy with technical capabilities, economic models and legal and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager to drive clear and concise product line status, analytics and transparency.
  • Collaborate with Product Operations and Interoperability teams to drive efficiency, scale and alignment to continue the ongoing the HS transformation from a compliance print publication to a product and digital organization.
  • Inform and engage managerial and executive stakeholders to build alignment within the organization and with external stakeholders.

Guide Product Design, Development and Execution

  • Collaborate with Engineering Team Lead and other internal and external business partners to guide development and manage alignment of delivered product to specifications and market requirements.
  • Drive execution on time, on plan, and on budget, to ensure revenue growth and client value enablement year over year.
  • Ensure ongoing collaboration and integration with the HS PMO.
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop and manage data platform modernization to support ongoing multi-year product strategy and execution

Product Support: Sales, Marketing, and Implementation

  • Collaborate with Account Management and Marketing to deliver value messaging linked to the targeted markets and segments.
  • Provide key inputs to enable marketing to develop Sales Enablement and Channel Enablement materials aligned to the current and new solutions' value propositions. Manage creation of and oversee quality of product artifacts. Align product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Represent Portfolio at conferences and events in many capacities including as a subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with Business Operations to create a positive customer experience during implementation and support phases.

Staff Management

  • Lead, mentor and provide management oversight for product team
  • Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating performance, and developing product team
  • Ensure that the team is well versed in latest techniques and methodologies in product management data analysis (e.g., market sizing and business modeling).

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or related field required; MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
  2. 10+ years total business experience required; minimum 5 years health care-focused experience in consulting, government, and/or data industry required.
  3. 5+ years' experience managing analytical or data projects either as an internal or external consultant.
  4. 5+ years' experience managing professional staff.
  5. Strong business acumen to convey recommendations and influence leadership. Excellent data synthesis skills to critically analyze and interpret market research and other data, to cultivate insights, and to apply those insights to develop business cases and plans.
  6. Excellent financial modeling skills to create complex models simulating market, financial, and operational performance associated with developing and rolling out new products and services.
  7. Demonstrated experience identifying, developing, and launching new product initiatives.
  8. Strong oral and written communications skills; able to express complex business concepts effectively.
  9. Strong presentation skills required to evangelize products in the marketplace.
  10. Ability to prepare written business documents that are professional.
  11. Demonstrated experience initiating, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external team members to achieve results.
  12. Works well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of business and technical experience and can influence a team toward a direction or recommendation based on data and insights.
  13. Some travel required.

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $176,205-$233,988. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
