Position Details:
- Shift: 1stShift: Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Pay Range: Up to $27.00/hour (basedupon experience, skill set, and shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks using Bill of Lading / Packing Slip to check and match inventory.
- Assist in inspection as to quality, type, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials.
- Locate and deliver and/or remove job material to/from various work stations in a timely and continuous manner (preventing lost time), in the correct order and placed correctly and consistently at the work station (i.e. so that the materials can be safely pulled/lifted to be utilized in the same manner repetitively).
- Ensure that product is staged and waiting to be used is placed in safe areas, e.g. not in walkways or exit doors; stored at safe heights; etc.
- Remove product from the work stations and take material to the next location in the finishing process, the shipping department or to storage area. Ensure product is properly tagged.
- When possible, move products, supplies and returned goods to appropriate locations in production areas using forklifts to transport parts.
- Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, inspection and transportation of goods.
- Palletize, band or wrap material for shipment; inspect material for shipment
- Follow all required safety procedures and perform in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience and/or Training:
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in metal or coating.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is preferred.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software) and maintaining accurate records of materials.
- Experience in inspecting materials for quality and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Strong understanding of material handling practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to safely handle and store metal materials, chemicals, and coatings.
- Basic math and measurement skills to assist with material preparation and stock counts.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, especially for hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate inventory management systems and maintain accurate records.
Physical and Mental Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use foot/feet to operation machinery.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and move from place to place.
- The employee regularly be able to regularly talk, listen, climb or balance and reach above shoulders.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- The employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where loud noise exposure is regular and frequent.
