Wayne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is searching for a patient, compassionate, and organized Aging Case Aide 2 to complete our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Aging Case Aide 2 schedules appointments and meets with walk-ins on a daily basis to provide counseling on health insurance and completion of various assistance applications. Appointments may include scheduling sessions with homebound clients as necessary. You will provide outreach services and encourage participation at senior centers to utilize the center's activities and other services. This includes preparation and conducting activities at the center such as arts and crafts, bingo, and exercise. Communication skills will be key as you may be asked to resolve complaints and conflicts of seniors attending the center. You will have the opportunity to work with volunteers serving communal lunch. Other duties to include but not limited to:
- Assisting in serving meals at the drive-thru station
- Overseeing solicitation of annual picnic donations including sending out letters
- Collecting donations for center meals and services
- Keeping a daily ledger of receipts
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Employee may have overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or
- Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
