Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Pascagoula, MS Requisition ID: 2271 Overview Role: We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation of electrical and electronic components and systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and successful execution of engineering projects. Key Responsibilities: * Execute electrical design engineering assignments to meet project requirements. * Supervise drafters and designers involved in electrical design work. * Review and verify accuracy of designs and documentation. * Maintain technical data and design documentation. * Prepare reports and respond to regulatory inquiries. * Coordinate with vendors to ensure compatibility of systems. * Attend and support meetings with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). * Collaborate with Program Engineers, Procurement Specialists, Designers, and Production Personnel. * Communicate effectively with Marine and Auxiliary Control System personnel within the government. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Strong knowledge of marine electrical design and applicable industry standards (ABS, DNV, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, IMO, IEEE, etc.). * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. * Experience in shipboard power systems including: * Electrical one-line development * Electrical Plant Load Analysis (EPLA) * ACS/MCS systems * Block and elementary wiring diagrams * Understanding of vessel design as it relates to electrical power systems, including structure, outfitting, HVAC, and auxiliary systems. * Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable engineering data. * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). * Ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. * 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, shipbuilding, or related production processes.
