Job Summary
Our Biologist will work closely with members of the Biological Sciences and Formulations team within R&D. This role will support the development of new consumer products for our pest and animal control portfolios. They will assist the Biology leads in setting up and executing efficacy trials at our Earth City Laboratory. They will have a strong background in entomology and biology and ideally experience in pest, insect, and/or wild animal control: ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies, bed bugs, wasps, termites, deer, mice, rats, rabbits, squirrels, moles, opossum, snakes, racoons, etc. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with laboratory personnel to conduct biological efficacy trials that require the handling of insects and insecticides
- Work with the Biology leads to maintain and grow an internal insectary
- Analyze data for claims substantiation
- Generate data for new consumer claims or regulatory requirements
- Generate protocols and SOPs as needed
- Perform biological efficacy screening trials for new product innovation
- Perform biological efficacy trials under GLP (Good Laboratory Practice); training will be provided
- Assist Biology leads with outdoor field trials as needed
- Partner with formulators to recommend and evaluate various active ingredients
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental trials, summarize trial results and assemble study reports
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Entomology, Wildlife Management, Biology or a related science
- Experience with handling insects and insect rearing
- Expertise in wild animal control and structural pest control a plus
- Field and/or laboratory research experience is a plus

Work Environment
100% laboratory/office environment. Employment duration - 6 months with a potential extension of 3 months if needed. #LI-TB
