The Early Talent Recruiter is responsible for the company's early talent programs - posting, interviewing, hiring and supporting the onboarding of all candidates; programs include but are not limited to: the Retail Management Training Program, the Internship Program, and Co-Op partnerships. This role acts as a primary ambassador for these programs within the community, fostering strong relationships with local and state schools to position Hannaford as an employer of choice for early talent.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all hiring activities and oversight related to Hannaford's early talent programs: the Retail Management Training Program, the Internship Program and Co-Op partnership(s).
* Be a true and visible ambassador in our markets, marketing our early talent programs in the community, ensuring that local and state schools have strong awareness of our programs and see the brand as an employer of choice.
* Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports company mission, values and upholds standards of ethics and integrity. Subject matter expert for all recruiting practices and processes, ensuring they're in compliance with federal, state and local law(s).
* Onboard all program participants (Retail Management Trainee's, Interns, Co-op) and partner with the respective business owner to ensure that training, expectations and measures of success are in place for the associates in these programs.
* Actively champion all elements of early talent programs - generating awareness of the program and working directly with business owners to ensure that they understand the purpose and expectations of the programs and that projects are aligned with those expectations. Identify, manage, and support trainee corporate projects and project sponsors.
* Responsible for continuous assessment and improvement of early talent recruiting and onboarding processes and practices. Regularly solicit for and integrate feedback, ensuring that the design of our early talent programs remains competitive, attractive, and viable for current college students.
* Share program feedback and themes with the Manager of Recruiting, ensuring that strategies, programs and practices are being built in a way that will allow the brand to continue to attract and retain early talent.
* Remain current on total reward offerings; partner with the Total Rewards Analyst to generate offers and is responsible for presenting the written offer.
* Execute a recruiting strategy that delivers exceptional, diverse candidates. Ensure that business requests/goals and recruitment targets are met.
* Responsible for the planning, facilitating and coordinating learning groups, extra-curricular events, and activities for each of the programs. Partner with Learning and Development resources on learning group goals and initiatives, co-facilitate learning groups and develop new content as needed.
* Leverage data to develop appropriate tools and reports to monitor and share progress of early talent career progression throughout the organization.
* Find innovative ways to recruit and engage early talent, embracing technology and leveraging alumni.
* Lead and/or serve as a member of key teams and committees as needed.
* Has strong working knowledge of all Hannaford business and HR strategies, business objectives, core values, Hannaford associate value proposition, Total Rewards offerings etc.

Qualifications and Experience:
* 1-3 years of specific HR or recruitment experience
* Assistant Store Manager or relevant office experience
* Former RMT and/or extensive awareness and experience of the brand's early talent programs
* Experience creating, forecasting, and overseeing a significant budget
* Strong knowledge of laws and regulations regarding recruitment

Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
* 1-3 years' experience designing learning for large scale group events (interns, other employee groups)
* 1-3 years' experience with recruiting process and techniques
* 1-3 years' experience recruiting and identification of strong early and mid-career talent
* Program creation and execution experience
* Knowledge of adult learning theory and experience in creating relevant curriculum

* Ability to manage, lead and maintain multiple, concurrent cohorts of differing programs

* Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to relate to all generations with a focus on early talent (i.e. high school, college and/or MBA students) as well as all levels within the organization
* Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple, concurrent demands
* Ability to challenge conventional thinking to deliver innovative recommendations
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems and Internet Search Engines.
* Self-motivated and persuasive in presenting, selling ideas, and executing those ideas
* Strong project management, process improvement and leadership capabilities
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, to be available to speak to candidates at off-hours in the evening or over the weekend.
* Flexibility to travel (20%) and work a schedule dictated by business needs

The salary range for the position is $63,440 - $95,160
