Subrogation Team Lead

Location: This position will be hybrid, with opportunity to remote after training as well as in our La Grange, KY office. on Tuesdays and as needed. As part of the Subrogation Division, The Team Lead is responsible for leading and supervising a dedicated subrogation team within the pod framework, ensuring effective workflow management, compliance with policies and achievement of recovery goals. This role combines technical expertise in subrogation with leadership skills to optimize team performance and outcomes. This individual should exemplify professionalism, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to build strong internal and external relationships, all while continuing to gain an expert understanding of healthcare subrogation What you'll do
- Manage workflows within the POD structure, fostering collaboration among team members.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with other POD leads to address cross-functional issues and streamline processes
- Prepare and present regular reports on subrogation performance and recoveries
- Represent the team in meetings with internal departments and external partners
- Ensure team adherence to company policies, industry regulations and legal standards
- Partner with the Continuous Improvement Team in the identification of file handling trends and updated training
- Monitor key performance drivers for analysts and provide coaching/mentoring for those not reaching goals.
- Provide coaching, mentorship and performance feedback to team members.
- Conducts daily/weekly team/pod meetings providing updates on company expectations and initiatives.
- Partners with Legal counsel to ensure analysts are receiving proper instruction for complicated legal issues.
- Partners with all Service Unit Support teams ensuring excellent client success.
- Partners with People Operations and Service Unit managers making recommendations for analysts not meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Counseling/resolving escalated calls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Completes Ad Hoc reports when requested
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the health insurance, legal, property casualty or related fields, which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work.
- Strong training, coaching, mentoring and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 1 year of file handling experience with strong operational performance and demonstrated quality in files handled.
