Description

The Corporate Communications Manager develops internal and external communications strategies and content. The manager uses various formats and venues to educate key constituents on business strategy, product and operations updates as well as support company culture. This includes partnering with subject matter experts to produce communication tools such as reports, presentations, announcements, award nominations, internal newsblog posts, videos, press releases, and social media content. The manager is flexible to work in a variety communications formats and channels working as a business partner with department leaders. The manager continually evaluates the effectiveness of the company's communications campaigns and recommends opportunities for improvement. This position is responsible to manage activities and implement deliverables in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and build and maintain relationships internally and externally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Supports internal business areas with communications counsel, strategy development and implementation of written and multi-media content - such as memos, presentations, talking points and speeches, web copy, videos, and social media assets - to highlight company mission and goals, programs and products, and activities and accomplishments
  • Works with various departments as a business partner to improve internal communications and staff engagement to support consistent distribution of messages across the organization
  • Creates various forms of content, in both short and long form, with ability to manage and execute research, writing, and coordination of creative services such as photography, video, and printing for both external and internal communications
  • Plans and implements public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company, including pitching brand and product awareness media stories, distributing corporate press announcements, and creating reports of coverage using contracted media monitoring service/dashboard
  • Participates on crisis communications team to support updating plan documents, assist with situational preparedness, and to implement response activities with direction from crisis communications lead
  • Partners with marketing team to coordinate communications support for local initiatives and new programs, including pitching media, drafting social media content, and creating internal messages to generate employee awareness and/or participation
  • Ensures appropriate internal and external approvals have been received for each communication project
  • Attends corporate-sponsored community events, which may be scheduled evenings and weekends, to represent the organization
  • Research healthcare system practices and attends trainings to remain current on industry trends
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for complying with Neighborhood's Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents


Qualifications

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, advertising, or humanities, or sufficient, relevant work experience in corporate communications field in lieu of a degree
  • At least five (5) years' public relations and/or corporate communications experience
  • Demonstrated experience in:


  • Writing, editing, and producing content for newsletters, press releases, web, social and internal communications channels
  • Managing public relations (PR) processes including press release distribution, media contact relationships/list, and PR measurement with goal to secure media coverage
  • Supporting brand, product and engagement communications strategies executed across multiple channels
  • Using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Constant Contact (or similar), virtual meeting technology (e.g. Teams or Zoom) and web-based content platforms (e.g. Sharepoint and Wordpress)
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service and continuous quality and process improvement
  • Effective problem-solving skills; well-developed personal and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with a high degree of independence
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective presentation and listening skills
  • Possess a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
