Job Summary

SALARY RANGE:

  • $91,102 - $131,404

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education, statistics, psychology or a relevant field is required.
  • Two or more years of experience working with assessment data is required.
  • A current teacher's license with a minimum of 3 years fully licensed teaching experience is required.
  • A Director of Instruction license (10) or ability to obtain within two years is required:

o NOTE: Applicants that do not currently hold this license or have not completed a certification program awarding this license, may still qualify for the position if they enroll in and complete a certification program awarding the #10 Director of Instruction within 2 years. Until you complete the certification program, the District will request the license on your behalf upon appointment to the position for a maximum of two years.

  • Administration experience is preferred.
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation of the large scale, standardized assessments in the district. This can include tasks such as ordering licenses and test materials, managing student rosters, configuring online accounts and permissions for users, monitoring test completion, troubleshooting technology problems, distribution of score reports, etc.
  • Serve as a liaison between school and district staff, as well as state and national assessment agencies.
  • Support school and district staff in understanding the role of standardized assessment in state and federal accountability.
  • Provide test administration training opportunities for school staff to ensure accuracy and validity of assessment results.
  • Collaborate with the appropriate district departments to make certain assessment practices are equitable and appropriate for all students, including students with IEP/504s and English Language Learners.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental colleagues to design and deliver professional development on using results from assessments to inform teaching and learning.
  • Provide technical assistance to school and district staff on issues related to assessment and/or measurement, respond to requests for assessment data, and facilitate the appropriate use and interpretation of assessment results and other academic data.
  • Plan and lead district and school-based professional learning around data and assessment tools and strategies.
  • Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
