Position Summary

This is a full-time position with the hours being Monday: 7:30am - 6:00pm, Tuesday: 7:30am - 5:00pm, and Wednesday - Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm. Coordinate the activities of employees within the assigned functional areas. Emphasis shall be placed on guiding teams to positive Same Day Service outcomes thorough workflow coordination, teamwork, and collaboration with other leads, team members and supervisors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish team workflow and ensure daily workflow operation is running smoothly and communicate exceptions to management promptly (delivery services interruption, building infrastructure, operating systems, printers, and staffing issues).
  • Ensure Same-Day-Service goals are met.
  • Demonstrate consistent and predictable attendance and set an example for the team.
  • Work closely with and coordinate workflow with other leads and supervisors.
  • Communicate progress as appropriate throughout the day.
  • Utilize respectful and professional dialog in all verbal and written intra and interdepartmental exchanges.
  • Provide performance feedback as appropriate both on the floor and in scheduled meetings.
  • Collect other administrative data as needed.
  • Be prepared for and participate in meetings.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude by working effectively with others.
  • Ensure adequate housekeeping to provide a clean, safe, efficient, and pleasant work environment.
  • Support teamwork and team building initiatives.
  • Account for staff daily and adjust work assignment based on staffing availability and workload.
  • Provide training and/or cross training for all team members as needed.
  • Plan for procedural or system updates and provide necessary training for team members as needed.
  • Provide performance management support to Supervisor as needed per specified requirements (data collection, general feedback, improvement packs, accurate and timely data collection, production, and accuracy).
  • Demonstrate working understanding of individual and team performance expectations and results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience within distribution center operational environment, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1+ years of experience within functional area.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with minimal travel outside of the department. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and use foot/feet to operate machine. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
