Research Assistant
Employment Type Full-time Weekly Scheduled Hours 40 hours/week Compensation $19.23/hour Summary The Research Assistant supports the John F. Butzer Center for Research & Innovation (JFB-R&I) mission in the conduct, analysis, communication, and translation of research and innovation that demonstrates the value of Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital's processes, devices, technologies, and services in support of the optimal care of patients. The Research Assistant is responsible for conducting literature searches, data management, recruiting participants, obtaining consents, maintaining files, scheduling, and conducting interviews and focus groups of patients and family members, building and maintaining data collection files, assisting with data analysis, and generating correspondence, reports and graphics. The Research Assistant (RA) works effectively in a team structure to assure efficiency of workflow, consistently demonstrating support of the JFB R&Imission of striving for excellence, contributing to the team efforts, and showing respect and compassion for patients and their families, fellow employees, and all others with whom there is contact at or in the interest of the hospital and research enterprise. The RA demonstrates strong aptitude in the following attributes: Communication, Accountability, Flexibility / Adaptability, Judgment / Problem Solving, and Customer Service. Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the JFB Center for Research & Innovation.
