Overview
To support the mission of Helio Health, Inc., The HIT Clinical Specialist is responsible for all activities related to the implementation, maintenance, analysis, and integrity of the Health Information Technology (HIT) operating environments for the organization. Under administrative direction, to plan, organize, and manage the HIT system and related functions, with a concentration on clinical workflows, content, data, etc., and to perform related duties as required. Provides systems administration, including managing user licenses, system cleanup and maintenance, and auditing and reporting. In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $1,500! Pay Range: $61,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year. Working Relationships
Responsibilities
- Understands workflow and assists users in leveraging systems to support and inform high-quality care.
- Develops a mastery of the organization's HIT systems to provide ongoing support for all Helio Health end users.
- Operates and/or supports the Health Information Technology service desk to resolve
system and user issues. - Maintains working relationships with the application and systems vendors.
- Stays abreast of system upgrades, patches, and upcoming and/or newly released enhancements.
- Works closely with program leadership to understand their workflows and assist with optimizations as required to maximize the user experience in the HIT systems.
- Assists in the creation and/or updating of electronic forms to meet the specific needs of the programs.
- Collaborates with the HIT Digital Adoption Specialist and the HIT Application Specialist to maintain detailed system documentation and procedures as needed.
- Collaborates with the HIT Digital Adoption Specialist on analyzing and measuring effectiveness of implemented optimization efforts. Facilitates/supports the super user program/training, addressing any potential training needs/gaps in the program and keeping them apprised of new workflows being implemented through optimization efforts.
- Responsible to support an "On-Call" rotation to support the program outside of normal business hours.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in health information management, information technology, business administration, healthcare, or a related field.
- 3 years' experience in a healthcare or clinical setting, and/or Health Information Technology.
- Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- In-depth understanding of privacy laws, workflows, policies, patient care objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Crystal Reports or other report writing tools is desirable.
- Proficient in productivity applications (e.g., Office 365).
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
