SUMMARY:

Ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions through monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES



  1. Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  2. Gauges the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  3. Collaborates with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  4. Designs and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  5. Integrates servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
  6. Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  7. Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  8. Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  9. Conducts research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.


10. Monitors and tests system performance; prepares and delivers system performance statistics and reports.

11. Provides orientation and training for end-users for all modified and new systems.

12. Provides 2nd level support for end-user systems including local and remote workstations and laptops. Provides 1st level support when needed.



  1. Performs other duties as assigned.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, it may provide lead support to lower-level staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer science, software administration, or related discipline. Experience may be substituted for up to two years of education.

EXPERIENCE

* A minimum of five years' equivalent work experience in network administration.

* Demonstrated experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.

* Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management, best practices.

* Working technical knowledge of current software protocols and Internet standards, including TCP/IP networks & Microsoft Windows based enterprise network environments.

* Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2019/2022/2025 Server, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure.

* Excellent software troubleshooting experience.

* Application support experience with Microsoft information worker products including MS Office, Exchange/Outlook messaging, SharePoint portals, Visio, MS Project and other related products.

* Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows Server, Windows 10, Windows 11, Linux, and Mac OS

* Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

* Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.

* Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

* Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

* Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

* Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

* Strong customer service orientation.

* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Salary Range: 60k - 90k annually

In-Office position daily
