What the day will look like

  • Lead outcomes analyses focused on novel therapies and programs quantifying the workforce / human capital impact across health and medical spend, absence, productivity, engagement and turnover
  • Own end to end processes in designing and running complex analyses from raw data to final report/deliverables as part of an advanced analytics team
  • Liaison and partner with other senior leaders within Aon's Human Capital, Health care analytics, Innovation, Clinical and Pharmacy areas
  • Help clients measure the effectiveness of different therapies and intervention program options, using best practice statistical measurement techniques
  • Leverage large health claims and risk datasets such as eligibility data, medical claims and prescription drug, absence and workers' compensation data from multiple sources, demonstrating deep expertise large scale analyses
  • Liaison and partner with other senior leaders within Aon's Human Capital, Health care analytics, Innovation, Clinical and Pharmacy areas
  • Stay up to date on upcoming vendors and startups in the healthcare space in areas such as GLP-1 Programs, Diabetes and Weight-Loss Management Solutions
  • Develop validation and quality control methodologies.
  • Lead multiple projects and manage timelines, milestones and delivery efficiently.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, pharmacists, actuaries and other colleagues to develop inference and interactive "what-if" analyses rooted in data
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, as well as executive summaries of key topics of interest
  • Support Enterprise Client Leaders with client, prospect and industry partner discussions

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong background in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, actuarial science, epidemiology
  • 7+ years' total experience including commercial health insurance and/or health benefits consulting experience
  • Experience with pharmacy treatments and pharmacy data, including drug adherence and linkage between pharmacy treatment and longitudinal health impact
  • Experience in health economics and outcomes measurement and validation of novel therapies or clinical, pharmacological and program interventions, including development of financial, utilization, and clinical outcomes metrics
  • Practical experience with developing measurement methodologies, matched-control cohort measurement, applied statistical measurement, causal inference methods and related techniques using real-world evidence
  • Detailed understanding and experience with medical and pharmacy claims reporting and billing including Diagnostic Coding ICD-10, Procedure Coding (CPT, DRG, ICD-10 PCS) and related industry standards.
  • Experience with employer plan sponsor datasets including eligibility, absence, productivity, turnover, engagement and related data is a plus
  • Expert with Python and/or R coding, experience with Databricks or similar data lake platform is a plus
  • High performing individual contributor that can mentor junior analysts
  • Good communication skills, both oral and in writing
  • Good organization and time management skills; ability to work independently

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $125,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
