Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for increasing automotive dealer adoption and utilization of the RouteOne internet-based Credit Application System, eContracting, and Menu System. The Business Development Representative will also work in conjunction with our field staff to increase dealer awareness and adoption of RouteOne and all of its offerings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contact dealerships to promote the utilization of the RouteOne Credit Application System (CAS), eContracting, and Menu systems (Paper Menu, FLITE, GO, Reporting). Introducing new features, upgrades, and upselling premium services based on the dealer's needs.
  • Conduct remote and in-dealership training. Provide training to current and new dealer users to assist with new user onboarding and gather customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with field sales staff and assist with their sales efforts.
    • Act as backup contact for Business Development Managers territories (out of office replies etc.)
  • Install RouteOne services and review usage.
  • Conduct daily / weekly training sessions for both current and prospective RouteOne customers to inform them about RouteOne product offerings.
  • Solicit new business in the franchised and independent automotive dealership markets to prospect and initiate business relationships independently.
  • Execute call campaigns to promote new features, enhance product utilization, address customer concerns, and provide support.
  • Build professional relationships within the automotive industry, specifically dealer-based customers.
  • Understand the competition and become an expert on dealership finance and insurance activities.
  • Analyze dealer customer workflows and recommend RouteOne premium services. Create pricing proposals for current and prospective customers. Handle technical issue escalations and assist in complex situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate self-direction in workload management.
  • Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of dealership systems, credit processes, insurance processes and online products.
  • F&I Training

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Knowledgeable in CRM (Salesforce) application.
  • Familiarity with customer (Dealer and Finance Source) technologies, tools, and terminology.

Other Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or suitable work experience.
  • AFIP Certification is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of combined secondary educational and/or professional work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, with ability and willingness to relocate to a specific U.S. market in the future.
