ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team in support of Task Order 2 (TO2) under the PPM program, aiding the transition of the PRISM system into the PROMIS environment. This is a fully remote opportunity focused on database migration, performance tuning, and secure configuration of Oracle 19c databases. The ideal candidate will have deep technical skills in Oracle database administration, PL/SQL development, and data migration (ETL), as well as familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities



  • Lead and support Oracle 19c database migration activities from PRISM into PROMIS, ensuring data integrity and security throughout.
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for stored procedures, packages, and scripts needed for ETL and system integrations.
  • Apply and maintain Oracle 19c STIG compliance; implement security best practices per DoD and USACE requirements.
  • Monitor and tune database performance; manage backup/recovery processes and implement high availability strategies.
  • Collaborate with developers, data architects, and infrastructure teams to support PROMIS readiness and operational stability.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for database environments, migration plans, and procedures.
  • Provide input into cloud migration planning; support environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) when applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education/Certification Required



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Qualifications Required



  • 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong PL/SQL development skills and hands-on experience with ETL processes.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle 19c and experience applying Oracle STIGs for DoD systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support database migration and modernization initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting Federal programs, particularly USACE or similar ERP environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and hybrid database deployments.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and large-scale data integrations.


Clearance Required



  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.



Physical Requirements



  • Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office
