Business Controller
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (On-Site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 annually (DOE)
Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus
Travel: Up to 25%
Reports To: Director of Data Planning & Analysis

We're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Business Controller who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving meaningful change across an organization. In this high-impact role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and be a key player in aligning financial strategy with operational goals across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Influence

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership, guiding financial direction and performance
  • Lead capital budgeting and forecasting initiatives that support long-range planning
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor operational success
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform business positioning
  • Deliver actionable insights and financial advice that drive decision-making at the highest level

Operational Excellence

  • Model profitability by customer, product line, and business segment
  • Collaborate with leaders across departments to drive financial clarity and accountability
  • Offer subject matter expertise to internal teams and serve as a mentor to others
  • Participate in acquisition planning, financial due diligence, and integration efforts

Reporting & Analysis

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial results
  • Support company-wide reporting and analysis initiatives

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead by influence and model a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Support, mentor, and develop finance team members
  • Foster a team-oriented culture that encourages open communication and idea-sharing
  • Embrace opportunities to drive organizational improvement and innovation
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in multi-site or project-based environments
  • Strong background in job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting
  • Exposure to international finance and currency exchange (a plus)
  • Proven ability to build relationships across functions and levels of the organization
  • Exceptional communicator with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
