Company Website Performance Contracting Inc. seeks Project Engineer at its facility located at 1080 Marina Village Parkway, Suite 300, Alameda, CA 94501. JOB DESCRIPTION: Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program. Have a clear understanding of PCI's insulation systems and how they relate to the ship construction process. Identify changes to customer provided system, arrangement, and construction drawings. Utilize quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials and price change orders. Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen. Use schedules to forecast material and manning requirements. Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance. Order materials. Provide material coordination with purchase orders, invoicing, and field communications. Support the job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAW's) on assigned projects. Support the branch through positive customer relations and active participation in the Customer Alignment Plan. Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in office, 1 day remote. REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, the applicant must have completed undergraduate or graduate course work in: (1) Construction Materials and Systems or related course; (2) Analysis of Construction Drawings and Specifications or related course; (3) Construction Method Analysis or related course; (4) Construction Equipment or related course; (5) Construction Project Management or related course; (6) Concepts of Sustainable Construction or related course; (7) Building Estimating or related course; (8) Project Scheduling and Control or related course; (9) Construction Contracts or related course; and (10) Computer Applications in Construction Management or related course.
