We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Source Coordinator to join our Quality team at our Bloomfield, Connecticut location. First shift hours are 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, as business needs currently dictate one hour of mandatory daily overtime.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.

Summary:

Maintains Quality Assurance program for product in support of Kamatics objectives and customer requirements of quality and timeliness. Ensures that paperwork meets customer and government requirements of quality and timeliness. Ensures adherence to documented procedures for all inspection activities.

Responsibilities:




  1. Coordinate, maintain, and prioritize orders needing source inspection. Communicates information and provides training on new procedures. Determines performance expectations, evaluates performance and provides coaching and training opportunities. Promptly handles employee issues.




  1. Maintain up to date customer/industry certification and training of DSQR's. Continue to improve source capacity through additional certifications of DSQR's.




  1. Act as primary DSQR and source inspection and contact for customers.




  1. Prepare products and related paperwork for presentation to customer or source inspection as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative for customers as well as interact with customers at source inspection when required.




  1. Prioritizes work. Maintains appropriate staffing level. Maintains workflow and balance, tracks and monitor's work. Ensures that productivity, quality standards and measures are met. Communicates information to appropriate departments and individuals. Provides reports.




  1. Draft and update ISO procedures as needed.




  1. Maintain records, data and logs as necessary.




  1. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.




  1. Makes continuous improvement recommendations. Ensures that group maintains 6S program.




  1. Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment. Work and communicate effectively between various departments.




  1. Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.


Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

5+ years of inspection experience in manufacturing environment or demonstrates

equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements

Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 30 lbs.

Moving materials

Other: Will be required to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs.
