The UMKC Office of Human Resources is seeking a dedicated Staff Learning and Development Specialist (UM Job Title: HR Specialist III) to play a pivotal role in shaping the professional development and engagement of our workforce. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to coordinate campus-wide learning initiatives, assist with employee recognition programs, and cultivate a vibrant and collaborative work environment. As a key contributor to the HR team, you will coordinate training activities, analyze compliance data, and administer development funds that empower employees to advance in their careers. You will also lead efforts to promote meaningful engagement activities, including wellness events and staff awards, while providing administrative support to critical functions like HR website maintenance and employee assistance programs. Up to $26.00 per hour commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. Other Information
Standard working hours for this position are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Upon successful completion of the initial probationary period, flexible work arrangements, such as an adjusted schedule or hybrid work options, may be considered. These will be evaluated individually to ensure they align with both team and organizational needs. Community Information
