Works closely with Human Resources and operations to ensure team members receive the mentoring, coaching, and training to be successful in their new role and adjust to the new environment Key Responsibilities Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of hourly individual contributors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of tasks. Participates in basic HR activities. Enforces systems, policies, and procedures. * Oversees and/or conducts On-The-Job (OTJ) training and coaching to ensure team members acquire the skills, knowledge, and behaviors needed to become productive and engaged members of our team. Ensures adequate review of our OTJ documents and Safety Analysis for each assigned job task. Maintains training records. * Helps ensure new team members participate in onboarding Injury Prevention, which includes the new team member Ramp In work schedule, strengthening and stretching exercises, Start-up Soreness Education, coordinate Upper extremity massage appointments, Hand Grip Testing, etc. * Ensures new team members can perform tasks correctly and safely, including a strong understanding of the correct usage of work tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and Good Manufacturing Practices. * Works closely with HR business partners to identify relationships between onboarding experiences, turnover, absenteeism, accident/injury rates, and performance and implement solutions. * Supports orientation training to include safety, quality, and human resources. Handles sensitive and confidential employee information. * Monitors new team members' progress regarding their job performance. Keeps relevant parties informed of any behavioral or training issues that impact the new team member's performance. * Documents new team member's job performance progress and provide input on job performance status. Ensures direct supervisors are kept up-to-speed on each team member's progress. * Coordinates with relevant parties regarding the placement of newly hired team members. Collaborates to ensure team members receive appropriate rotation and support. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions Working Conditions * Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. * The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate, the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection. * Occasional travel may be required.
