Expected Outcomes
- Member Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service through helpline and secure email queues. Ensure mortgage payments are processed accurately and member issues are resolved completely and proactively.
- Escrow Management: Timely disbursement of real estate taxes, homeowner's insurance, flood insurance, and PMI. Conduct escrow analyses and notify members of any changes.
- Insurance Documentation: Track and review incoming insurance documents to ensure the Credit Union's mortgage interests are protected. Maintain accuracy through monthly insurance database reports.
- File Retention: Maintain accurate loan and insurance documentation in data processing systems for compliance and tracking.
- Secondary Marketing: Facilitate the sale of loans to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other investors. Manage purchase advice and mortgage rate locks.
- Construction Loans: Review and process construction draw requests in accordance with Credit Union policies.
- Partial Release of Liability and Land: Prepare and process documentation for release requests, apply fees, update credit reporting, and finalize releases in the core system.
- Team Collaboration: Serve as a reliable resource and mentor for new team members. Foster strong internal and external relationships through professionalism and teamwork.
Capability Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional post-secondary technical coursework in real estate or lending or the equivalent work experience.
- One year experience in a mortgage lending environment.
- Professional well developed interpersonal skills essential for interacting with credit union staff and members.
- Work requires ability to work accurately with figures and ability to perform detailed work.
- Requires the ability to follow-up on problems presented to members and co-workers using a customer service approach including use of investigative problem solving.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of laws and regulations that govern mortgage servicing.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Physical Demands of Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk, use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and /or carry up to 10 pounds. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
