The Opportunity

DAT is seeking a Senior Pricing Manager to own the operational execution and evolution of our pricing strategies. This role is central to the company's revenue engine, with primary focus on managing our core enterprise pricing solution (the ESP Calculator), which informs pricing for thousands of customers across carrier, broker, and shipper segments.

You will be responsible for translating pricing strategy into action, managing critical pricing tools, supporting annual price reviews, and modeling the impact of new product packages and promotions. As the expert on our pricing models, this role requires versatility to manage day-to-day operations while designing and migrating current tools to scalable, next-generation solutions.

What You'll Do

Pricing Model & Tool Management



  • Administer and execute monthly updates for enterprise pricing solution (ESP Calculator)
  • Own current pricing tool and lead transition to scalable, future-state solution
  • Coordinate with Finance and offshore teams to ensure data accuracy and timely ingestion
  • Identify and implement pricing model improvements for increased efficiency


Segment Pricing & Execution



  • Support annual Carrier and Broker price increase cadences through data analysis and modeling
  • Develop pricing strategies and impact assessments for all customer segments
  • Coordinate implementation of approved pricing changes across systems and teams


Product Packaging & Promotions



  • Model financial impact of new product packages, bundles, and promotional campaigns
  • Support pricing design for new offerings, especially from acquisitions or strategic shifts
  • Develop discounting and pricing schedules for end-of-life products


Analysis & Reporting



  • Perform ad-hoc pricing, usage, and adoption analyses for strategic initiatives
  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis to ensure market effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain pricing-related reports and dashboards


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on pricing implementation and communication
  • Create and maintain pricing documentation and rate cards
  • Respond to pricing-related inquiries from internal teams


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring

Analytical & Modeling Experience (5-8+ years)



  • 5-8+ years in pricing operations, pricing analysis, financial analysis, or revenue operations, preferably in B2B/SaaS environment
  • Advanced Excel proficiency for building and maintaining complex financial and pricing models
  • Strong SQL experience for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from data warehouses (Snowflake experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred) and statistical programming languages (R, Python a plus)


Business & Pricing Acumen



  • Strong understanding of pricing fundamentals and different models (usage-based, subscription, tiered)
  • Experience supporting pricing for different market segments and understanding their unique needs
  • Ability to translate business requirements into analytical models and processes
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and billing systems beneficial


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, or related field
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or freight industry
  • Familiarity with usage-based pricing models and complex product bundling
  • Experience with pricing optimization tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of Streamlit or similar application development platforms

For Washington-based candidates, in compliance with the Washington States Pay Transparency Law, theminimum salary for this role is $150,000.00 + benefits + target bonus. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
