The Opportunity Serving as a member of the Kentucky Distribution Center (KDC) Leadership Team, this role is responsible for the management of the Inbound / Outbound Logistics team. This position is accountable to proactively ensure the operations are cGMP compliant, Genentech safety rules are enforced, leads the continuous improvement of departmental performance, and delivery to the budgetary and metric targets, including OTIF and inventory accuracy. This position reports directly to the Site Head of the KDC and lives our leadership values by prioritizing the maturity growth of the team, defining a compelling vision, architecting teams, catalyzing change through removing roadblocks, and coaching the greater organization. What You'll Do Strategic Leadership:
Collaborates with Site Leadership Team (SLT) to develop strategic long-term initiatives and outcomes Leads a culture of Continuous Improvement that is focused on the development and execution of initiatives to improve distribution center (DC) metrics that drive operational, safety, quality and financial performance Own the process of developing and executing departmental goals and objectives through identifying and establishing operational KPIs
People Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
Be an effective people manager through mentoring, coaching and developing team members in an agile environment, with a strong focus on career and capability development Supervise team's performance through performance planning, coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts Communicates and keeps direct reports well informed and aligned to Company and DC's values, goals, results, initiatives, policies, procedures etc. Effectively communicates and establishes rapport with internal departments such as customer service, channel operations and IT/OT to ensure customer needs are met and business systems are functional and optimal.
Operational Management & Leadership:
Manage and supervise the receipt, storage, and shipment of commercial product at the Kentucky Distribution Center Coordinate order fulfillment with Commercial Customer Operations and collaborate to maintain efficient and effective operations and delivery Ensure compliance with cGMP, adherence to Global Distribution and Warehouse policy, GSP and Genentech safety policies Own the regulatory compliance aspects of the business to include quality management system oversight, SOP adherence and maintenance and training robustness and completness. Assist in the planning of and recommendations of future manpower, space, equipment requirements and policies for the site Perform periodic review to ensure staff is making progress towards meeting established goals and objectives Develop and implement operational KPIs within Inbound / Outbound Logistics operations

Play a key role in the development of a Continuous Improvement mindset in our operations to better service our customers and provide and support training for associates to support continuous improvement ideas. Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs Aggressively pursue waste and inefficiencies in their operation Target potential improvements and work with teams to improve working environment and product throughput Act as "change agent" to drive "lean" education and utilization Accountable for "lean" process sustainability within assigned operations.
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field is preferred Completed technical, scientific education or 6+ years of professional experience in a GMP environment will be considered in lieu of degree requirements APICS and/or SCOR certification is a plus 6+ years of work experience in a GMP environment (e.g. pharmaceutical, medical device or food industry) is preferred; equivalent years of supply chain management experience will be considered 3+ years of direct supervisory experience is required ERP systems (e.g. SAP, OMP, APO) is preferred Demonstrated knowledge and application experience of LEAN principles is preferred Project management experience is a plus

Relocation Assistance is not available for this role. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Louisville, Kentucky is $86,000 - $159,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
