Genesis10 is currently looking for an Industrial Engineering Technician for a 12 month contract role for our client in Arvada, CO. This role is 100% onsite.
Summary: Maintaining communications systems across Colorado, including LMR data, SCADA, Wi-Fi networks, and four-wire circuits. The role is field-based, requiring a 5 to 7-year telecommunications background, BICSI certification, and self-management skills. The technician will work 40 hours/week, with potential overtime, and will use ServiceNow for ticket management. The role is medium to high risk, requiring a valid driver's license. Company vehicle provided. They will start reviewing candidates by June 16th or 17th. Overview of the Industrial Engineering Technician Position * This position will be supporting and maintaining various communication systems across Colorado, such as LMR data, SCADA, Wi-Fi networks, and four-wire circuits. * The position requires passing a background check, drug test, and undergoing two-day training for fire rating systems. * The job is field-based, with a typical day involving managing a queue of signed tickets and self-managing schedules. Responsibilities: * Entirely field-based, with some paperwork involved. * The technician will start their day at a service center, reviewing assigned tickets, and scheduling tasks. * The position supports a team of 18 other technicians, with close collaboration with leadership * The role involves working closely with other technicians, requiring good communication skills. * The technician may need to climb ladders and possibly use scissor lifts. Risks and Safety Considerations * Medium to high risk due to fieldwork and exposure to substances. * Client provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and a company vehicle * Client provides copper training to minimize risks, but there are always inherent dangers in the field. Qualifications: * Must have a telecommunications background, including knowledge of different cable types and fiber optics. * 5 to 7 years of experience, preferably from companies like XFINITY, Comcast, or Century Link. * BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International) certification is highly preferred Technical and Non-Technical Requirements * Technologies: SAP, Cisco networks, and possibly Nokia and Siemens networks. * Additional skills that would be beneficial include certifications Cisco, and the ability to work well in a team. * No formal education beyond high school is required, with a preference for field experience over academic qualifications. * Will need to know how to use hand and power drills. Travel and Reimbursement Policies * Overnight accommodations may be required, and the company will either pay for a room or reimburse the technician for expenses. * The technician will start their day at a service center, likely in a metro area, and may be required to travel to various locations within Colorado. Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $60.00 to $63.00/hr We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
